Who runs this website, how the work of Oldřich Lajsek is protected and what applies to the paintings offered from his estate.

Website operator

The website is run by JUDr. Jan Lajsek, the son of the painter Oldřich Lajsek, on behalf of the artist's family. Correspondence is handled by his son V. Lajsek, e-mail v.lajsek@seznam.cz.

Copyright

The work of Oldřich Lajsek (1925–2001) is protected by copyright for 70 years after the artist's death, i.e. until the end of 2071. The economic rights are exercised by the artist's heirs.

Photographs of the paintings, texts and graphics on this website may not be copied, altered, distributed or used commercially without prior written permission, except where the law allows it – for example quotation to a reasonable extent with the author and source credited.

To request permission to reproduce a work (publication, exhibition, catalogue, print), write to v.lajsek@seznam.cz.

Quoted texts

Excerpts from articles and reviews in the “Written about him” section are quoted with their source. Copyright in them belongs to their authors and publishers.

Paintings on offer

The paintings on this website are an invitation to negotiate, not a binding offer. An enquiry through the form is not binding. Price, payment and handover are always agreed individually with the artist's family. Availability may change – a painting may already have been sold.

Colours may look slightly different on different screens. Dimensions are given according to the artist's catalogue.

Under Czech law, cash payments are limited to CZK 270,000 per day; larger amounts can only be paid by bank transfer.

Links and liability

The information on this website was compiled by the artist's family from available sources and is being added to over time. We are not responsible for the content of external websites we link to.

These terms are governed by Czech law. Effective from 25 October 2026.
